Prez concerned about loss of lives in Tarai
KATHMANDU: President Ram Baran Yadav on Thursday said the top leaders, including Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, should draft the new constitution through consensus by addressing the concerns of agitating parties through dialogue.
Yadav also expressed concern about the ongoing agitation in different parts of the country and asked the top leaders to resolve the issues through dialogue. Yadav stated he would accept the constitution drafted by the Constituent Assembly.
In response, Dahal informed the president that his party has been working hard to bring the agitating parties to the talks table and the major parties had already issued an appeal to the agitating parties.
