KATHMANDU, AUGUST 29

President Ramchandra Paudel today authenticated the Bill to amend the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act (TRC Bill). The Office of the President announced this.

AWC says TRC bill still contains significant flaws that severely undermine the victims' right to justice

The President assented to the Bill in accordance with Article 113(2) of the Constitution.

The Bill was submitted for authentication after being endorsed by both Houses of Parliament recently.
