PM Oli stresses on collective efforts

Dhading, May 20

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called one and all to contribute towards making a prosperous, disciplined, peaceful and stable country.

Inaugurating the construction of optical fibre network in the Mid-hilly Highway in Dhading’s Galchhi today, the prime minister stressed on collective efforts of all three levels of governments to improve people’s lifestyle through development.

“Development isn’t just about building roads, but also doing things that bring about change in the economic condition of the people and society,” said the PM, adding that the upcoming budget would be focused on increasing agricultural productivity, hydropower project construction and technical education.

“The government this time is trying to introduce new features in the budget by incorporating vocational education and proritising sectors like hydropower projects rather than focusing on road projects alone,” he said.

“In fact, the onus of creating a better and prosperous country is upon all the three levels of government, so we must move ahead hand in hand. It is unfortunate that the governments at the provincial and the local levels are acting as if they were sovereign entities like a country,” he said.

Planting of optical fibre along the 804-km of the highway from Panchthar’s Chiyo Bhanjyang to Arughhat on the border between Gorkha and Dshading has started

from Sindhuli’s  Khurkot, Dhankuta’s Hile and Dhading’s Galchhi simultaneously.
