PM stresses unity for development

Rajbiraj, January 22

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today stressed on national development and stability through unity among the people of mountains, hills and Tarai.

Speaking at a condolence assembly at Golbazaar of Siraha today, the PM said only unity among people and parties could establish national identity, stability, and development.

“As statute amendment is the only way out to resolve the longstanding concerns of the Madhesi, ethnic nationalities, and other communities, it should be endorsed for national peace and prosperity,” he said.

PM Dahal said, “Hills cannot exist without mountains, and the Tarai cannot exist without hills and mountains. The culture, geography, tradition and lifestyle of these regions are intertwined and interdependent. We must establish unity among the regions for the good of the country,” said the PM.

Meanwhile, senior leader of the CPN-Maoist Centre Narayan Kaji Shrestha said elections should be held by addressing the concerns of the Madhesi community at the earliest.
