PM Dahal flies to Beijing after attending Boao conference

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday reached the Chinese capital Beijing after attending the Boao Forum for Asia annual conference in Boao, Hainan province of China. He is on a week-long visit to China.

PM Dahal was received at the Beijing Airport by a member of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Communist Party of China, employees at the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, Nepali businesspersons and students when he landed there.

He will be staying at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Haidian District of Beijing.

PM Dahal was escorted to the State Guesthouse from the airport, the Prime Minister's personal secretary Prakash Dahal said.

Prime Minister Dahal attended a dinner to be organised by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing this evening.

On the occasion, he addressed to the Nepali community and businessmen also.

In his speech, Dahal said Nepal can be benefited by China's economic development. According to him, Nepal will support China's One Belt One Road Initiative.

Expressing his hope that his China visit will help strengthen bilateral relationship and good will between Nepal and China, he thanked all who expressed good wishes to him for the visit.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the members of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Communist Party of China and high leaders.

He will hold talks with the Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday.
