Prime minister to attend session

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is likely to attend the question-answer session in the House of Representatives on Sunday.

According to the HoR regulation, the PM should answer questions from lawmakers in the third week of the month when the Parliament is in session. The PM had responded to lawmakers’ questions on January 18.

Deputy Speaker of the House Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe told THT that the Parliament Secretariat had been directed to include the question-answer session with the PM in the schedule.

According to her, if the PM cannot attend the session, a government minister can respond on his behalf.

According to regulations, only 10 lawmakers can ask questions during the session.
