Private school teachers submit memos
Phidim, March 22:
The Panchthar unit of the Private School Teachers’ Union, Nepal, today submitted separate memoranda to District Education Office, District Administration Office, schools concerned and the Private and Boarding Schools’ Organisation (PABSON), demanding appropriate salary, benefits, allowances and other facilities.
The meeting of the teachers, held in Phidim today, had decided to submit the memoranda to raise their voice against exploitation of the teachers.
The teachers have also warned to launch strong protest programmes if their demands were not met before the next academic session begins.
Panchthar PABSON chairman, DS Subba, said the teachers’ demands were genuine but private schools alone would not be able to meet them.
