Probe committee on APF rebellion starts work

Banke, June 28:

The committee formed to probe the Bageshwori battalion incident of the Armed Police

Force stationed at Banke’s Shumshergunj started its work today.

The team led by SSP Rajendra Bahadur Singh started its work today, ASI Tej Bahadur Balayar, leader of the agitating APF personnel, said, adding that the committee had been probing the irregularities in ration distribution. Team member and Battalion superintendent Dilip Sharma said the team would carry out an investigation with respect to each of the 23 points of agreement reached with the disgruntled APF personnel.

Junior APF officers, saying that they were exploited and discriminated against, had

rebelled and taken senior officers hostage for many hours a few days ago.
