Probe panel formed

KATHMANDU: The government on Monday formed a six-member committee to probe the crash-landing of US-Bangla Airlines at Tribhuvan International Airport.

According to Buddhi Khadka at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the panel is led by former director general at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Yagya Prasad Gautam.

Joint secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane has been designated as the member secretary of the panel. The panel has been assigned to initiate investigation as early as possible.

CAAN has also communicated with Dhaka aviation authority for necessary cooperation, according to the officials.
