Mahottari:

A gang of armed dacoits last night took under control the whole Khakhana tole of Radhunathpur VDC in Mahottari district and looted property over Rs 10 million, the Mahottari district police office said.

A local, Shyam Kumar Yadav, was injured fighting the dacoits, police said. He is undergoing treatment in a local health post, villagers said. Meanwhile, a gang with masks on, yesterday night attacked Roshan Tiwari, 20, at Banchaudi VDC in the district and made away with Rs 35,000 in cash.
