PARSA: Property worth around Rs 700,000 was reduced to ashes when a fire destroyed three houses at Ram Nagari VDC in the district on Sunday morning.

According to police, houses of Nagendra Giri, Ram Babu Giri and Jokhan Sahni were gutted in the fire.

The reason behind the fire was electric short circuit.

The fire was taken under control with the help of police personnel and locals after two hours.
