Protest against murders

Women activists protested vehemently today against the murder of two women in the past two days in Kaski.

Hundreds of youths, including women and girls, staged a demonstration against the murder of Neha Pun on Tuesday.

They staged a rally with placards demanding justice for the deceased and action against the guilty.

The rally started from Manabadhikar Chowk and marched round Chipledhunga, Mahendrapul, Nayabazaar, Airport, Mustangchowk and concluded at District Administration Office.

Representatives of various organisations also attended the rally expressing solidarity.

Neha’s body was found at Nayagaun on Tuesday morning. There were bruises on her head. Just two days before her murder, Saraswoti Limbu was murdered in Malepatan.

The guilty and the motive behind her murder are yet to be confirmed.
