PARSA: Some protesters in the district have taken away food items from a minitruck at a local Brahma Chowk along the Bypass Road of Birgunj on Friday evening.

The minitruck (Na 4 Kha 4774) was ferrying essential goods including rice, pulses and salt from Birgunj to Chitwan, said police.

The agitators snatched away the essential supply arguing that vehicular movement was not allowed during the general shutdown.

Meanwhile, police arrested four persons in connection to the case.
