Province 3 CM takes guardianship of Chepang, Tamang kids

HETAUDA: Chief Minister of Province 3 Dormani Poudel took guardianship of three children and had them enrolled in a local community school today.

Chief Minister Poudel had two children admitted to National Secondary School in Sunachuri of Manahari Rural Municipality-6, and another boy at Mahendra Kiran Secondary School in west Makawanpur, in the district, as part of the ongoing school enrollment campaign launched by the government.

Six-year-old Sanjit Blon of Jogitar in Manahari-6 and six-year-old Jessica Praja of the same place were enrolled in Grade-1 at the National Secondary School, Sunachuri, under the campaign. Likewise, Chief Minister Poudel got Suman Chepang enrolled at Mahendra Kiran Secondary School in Manahari.

Chief Minister Poudel has beared the entire cost of their education, school uniform, school bag and stationery.

Speaking after enrolling the children in school, Chief Minister Poudel said the provincial government has taken the 'right of children to education' seriously.

Federal parliament member Birodh Khatiwada, provincial lawmakers Juneli Shrestha and Om Ghalan, and Chairman of Manahari Rural Municipality Ekraj Upreti were present at the programme.

Similarly, lawmaker Khatiwada, Makawanpur District Coordination Committee Chief Raghunath Khulal, Rural Municipality Chair Upreti and ward members Pushkar Subedi and Ram Prasad Dhakal also took guardianship of one child each and provided sponsorship for their education.
