Province 3 government to deploy doctors to health centres, posts

Province 3 government is set to deploy 16 doctors to local level primary health centres and health posts in a bid to provide quality health service in local bodies.

The Ministry of Social Development will deploy doctors in two local levels of Chitwan, Ramechhap and Kathmandu, and one doctor each in the local levels of 10 districts.

Doctors will be deployed at Phaparbari Health Post of Bagmati Rural Municipality in Makawanpur, Dadhikot Primary Health Centre of Suryabinayak Municipality in Bhaktapur, Bhandara Primary Health Centre of Rapti Rural Municipality and Jutpani Primary Health Centre of Kalika Rural Municipality in Chitwan.

Similarly, doctors will be deployed at Thankot Health Post of Chandragiri Municipality and Gokarneshwor Primary Health Centre of Gokarneshwor Municipality in Kathmandu, Nawalpur Primary Health Centre of Indrawati Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchowk, Salyantar Primary Health Centre of Tripurasundari Rural Municipality in Dhading, Dhuseni Shivalaya Health Post of Chaurideurali Rural Municipality in Kavre, Manthali Primary Health Centre of Manthali Municipality and Dorambha Primary Health Centre in Ramechhap.

Likewise, doctors will also be sent to Jibjibe Primary Health Centre of Kalika Rural Municipality in Rasuwa, Kharanitar Primary Health Centre of Tadi Rural Municipality in Nuwakot, Kopilakot Primary Health Centre of Marin Rural Municipality in Sindhuli, Bhattedanda Health Post of Bagmati Rural Municipality in Lalitpur and Singati Primary Health Post of Kalinchowk Rural Municipality in Dolakha.

Satis Bista, chief at the Department of Health in the Ministry of Social Development said this programme would help operate health facilities having 15 beds at the local level.

Minister of Social Development Yubraj Dulal said Rs one crore each would be provided in loan to 18 health facilities of the province.
