HETAUDA: The Province 3 government is set to establish a paper factory at Manahari of Makawanpur district.

Preparation for Detailed Project Report (DPR) has taken stride for the establishment of the factory which will be built in collaboration with the private sector.

Province 3 Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Arun Nepal, informed that the preparation is underway for the establishment of the paper factory as per the multi-year plan.

In the current fiscal year, the Province 3 has allocated Rs 5 million for the preparation of DPR of the factory.

He added that collaboration with the private sector was necessary for the sustainable operation of the factory.

Meanwhile, Yekraj Uprety, chairperson of Manahari Rural Municipality, said that the Municipality will provide adequate land for the establishment of the factory under the backing of state government.

It has been estimated that the factory will be established at the investment of Rs 2 billion.
