Province 3 presents policies and programmes for fiscal 2019-20

Province 3 government today presented its policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2019-20.

Province 3 Governor Anuradha Koirala presented the policies and programme at the Provincial Assembly. After Koirala read out some points of the policies and programmes, Chief Minister Dormani Poudel presented the remaining points.

The policies and programmes has given continuity to some important projects and plans and some ambitious projects and plans have been made public.

The policies and programmes moots the establishment of a follow-up desk to operate the policies and programmes to monitor implementation of the plans and projects.

The new policies and programmes’ stress is on agricultural productivity and setting up a market for agro-products. Presenting the policies and programmes, CM Poudel said the government had brought in strategies to make its anti-corruption drive effective.

The policy has accorded top priority to integrated settlement development programme and operation of electric vehicles. All 119 local levels and 13 districts will be connected with road network in the next fiscal.

The government has set the target of replacing vehicles operated with petroleum products in Kathmandu, Chitwan, Hetauda, Banepa, Dhulikhel and Panauti in nine years.  The province government aims to provide pure drinking water to people in collaboration with the metropolitan city, sub-metropolitan city and municipality in the next fiscal.

The policies and programmes proposed formation of Province Public Service Commission, Province Civil Servants’ Record Centre, and Province Police in the next fiscal.
