Election for speaker, deputy speaker of Province 3 slated for Saturday, Sunday
HETAUDA: The House Speaker and Deputy Speaker elections of Province 3 have been slated for Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The elections will pave way for the appointment of Chief Minister and other ministers in the state.
The first meeting of the State Assembly on February 1, held in Hetauda, had decided to hold the house speaker's election on February 10.
According to Dr Rojnath Pandey, Secretary at the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, House Speaker nominations will be received from 10:00 am to 11:30 am tomorrow and the candidates name list will be published around 1:00 pm.
During the second State Assembly meeting around 3:00 pm tomorrow, the proposers will table the candidacy of speaker nominee and seconder will support the proposal for endorsement, Pandey informed.
Likewise, an all-party meeting on Saturday is likely to finalise the deputy speaker's election for Sunday, according to Pandey.
Province 3 PA has 110 members altogether--58 members from UML, 23 from Maoist Centre, 21 from Nepali Congress, three from Bibeksheel Sajha Party, two from Nepal Peasant Party, and one each from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Democratic and Naya Shakti Party Nepal.
