Province 3 woes

Himalayan News Service

KATHMANDU: Province 3 Press Registrar Rewati Sapkota said Province 3 had neither been able to issue licences to TV and radio projects nor renew their licences due to the federal government’s reluctance to transfer relevant files to Province 3 government.

“In the absence of provincial law, the federal government shows high-handedness.

Province 3 has prepared necessary legal framework and is ready to take charge, but the federal government is not handing over the files to the province,” Sapkota said. He added that Province 3 government suffered a loss of Rs 3 to 4 million due to non-cooperation from the federal government.
