Province 7 Chief Minister Bhatta inaugurates web-based IMS

Chief Minister of Province 7 Trilochan Bhatta today inaugurated web-based infrastructure management system and mobile application of Dhangadi sub-metropolis in Kailali.

CM Bhatta inaugurated the IMS and mobile app at a programme organised at the sub-metropolis’s office. He said Dhangadi sub-metropolis had become the first sub-metropolis to introduce the system in the country. The new system will provide all the information related to development projects running in the district.

“The province government in its first meeting had announced to make all the government offices information technology-friendly,” he added. CM Bhatta said it was a big challenge to operate the system. “The system will be introduced in all the government offices after its successful operation in Dhangadi sub-metropolis,” he informed.   The Web-based Infrastructure Management System will provide all the information of development projects through a mobile application. CM Bhatta said the condition of the development projects running in different wards could be checked through smart mobile phones.

Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transportation Pathan Singh Bohora of Province 7 said the web-based technology introduced  byDhangadi sub-metropolis would definitely make other local levels of the province to adopt technology. “People have the right to know about all the activities of the government,” he added.

Mayor NripaBahadur Odd of the sub-metropolis said the web-based technology had been introduced to make the activities of the sub-metropolis more transparent. Odd urged the residents of the sub-metropolis to make maximum use of the web-based technology.

Kailali CDO BaburamShrestha said the new technology would help to ensure good governance.  Similarly, Godabari Municipality Mayor Hari Singh Saud said technology would help to institutionalise democracy.
