Province 7 lawmakers concerned about poor security

Dhangadi, March 22

Province 7 lawmakers have criticised the provincial government for failing to improve security situation in the province.

Taking special time during the seventh PA meeting today, they expressed concern about the worsening security situation in the province and sought the government’s attention towards the same.

“Security situation in the province is deteriorating day by the day and the provincial government doesn’t seem concerned. This is unfortunate,” said Nepali Congress lawmaker Bharat Bahadur Khadka.

Similarly, CPN-MC lawmaker Shanti Nepali drew the government attention towards poor deployment of security personnel on the borders with neighbouring countries.

“As the government has failed to step up security on the border with China and India, people are not able to feel the sense of security,” she said.

UML lawmaker Amar Bahadur Saud, on his part, raised the issue of attack on Ghodaghodi Mayor Mamata Prasad Chaudhary and said such incidents would dent the moral of local representatives.
