Province minister talks to voters
Bajura, July 16
Province 7 Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Prakash Shah is engaged in discussion with locals in his constituency for the past one week in Bajura.
Shah was elected to the Province Assembly from Bajura Constituency No 2.
Jaula BK of Pipalgaun, Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality-2 was surprised when she saw the minister at her doorstep.
“I had an impression that politicians never visited their constituency once they were voted to power, but he has proved it wrong,” she said, adding the minister had inquired about problems facing the village during the meeting.
“The minister has been holding a discussion with local representatives and commoners for drafting policies,” said the minister’s personal aide Bharat Shah, adding, “he also visited Achham and Doti before arriving at his home district.”
Chief District Officer Chetraj Baral of Bajura appreciated the interest shown by the minister in the development of his constituency and the province as a whole. “It was a positive thing that he came to us to learn about our problems,” he said, while the minister renewed his commitment to changing the face of Bajura.
