‘Province govt in dilemma about budget’
Hetauda, May 21
Province 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel today said the provincial government was grappling with the budget for the new fiscal.
Speaking at the Province Coordination Council meeting organised by the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Poudel held that his government was not clear about the budget despite the fact that new fiscal was approaching.
He stated that the policy and programmes presented by the federal government would help in preparing the agendas of the budget in the province.
“Preparation of the budget is under way and development targets will be set in the local levels as per the budget of the federal government,” Poudel added.
Poudel said that his government could not accomplish anything concrete though 100 days had passed since the provincial Cabinet was formed. “Since the structure of the provincial government is new, we could not achieve significant progress and development as the process of preparing many laws and acts is under way,” Poudel added.
Poudel recalled that he had pledged to make the province prosperous and developed during the polls. He stressed the need to adopt zero tolerance against corruption to usher in change and prosperity.
Stating that all three levels of the government were independent, Poudel said that only coordination and collaboration among the three tiers of government would help realise the dream of prosperity and development.
