KASKI, SEPTEMBER 23

Gandaki Province and Province 2 have signed an inter-province Memorandum of Understanding for promoting tourism.

As per the MoU, the identification of tourist destinations, their promotion and dissemination, continuity of direct flights between the provinces and extension of the Janakpur-Pokhara air service are to be focused on in the days to come.

Similarly, the MoU has stated about religious, cultural, and archaeological exchanges, exploration of the potential of adventurous tourism, establishment and promotion of a religious touristic circuit from Janaki temple to Muktinath via Triveni Dham, and identification and implementation of more areas for collaboration.

The document was signed today with Province 2 Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut and Gandaki Province Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel as witnesses.

Province 2 CM is on a visit to Pokhara at the invitation of Gandaki Government.

Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents Gandaki Province Chair Sanjay Kant Sigdel and Province 2 Chair Mohan Prasad Sharma had signed the documents from their respective sides.

On the occasion, CM Raut said they were ready to cooperate with Gandaki in every aspect including the tourism sector.
