Dhangadhi Protest

DHANGADHI: Lawmakers faced difficulties in entering the state assembly building of Province 7 after protesters picketed the building in their expression of dissatisfaction regarding the permanent capital and name of the province. Security personnel -- mobilised in a large number -- were busy since the morning planning ways to make the lawmakers enter the provincial assembly building. Nepal Police and Armed Police Force provided double line of security in the area. Dhangadhi Protest

Since the protesters picketed the main gate of the building, police with utmost security were making the members of provincial assembly enter from the west gate of the building. Meanwhile, general public were being checked at various areas in Dhangadhi. Locals of the sub metropolis took to the streets since early Friday morning chanting slogans against the province government.
