Proxy for ex-state minister’s examinee brother held

A bogus examinee was caught appearing instead of former state minister Mohammad Aftab Alam’s brother during a written examination here today. Harendra Prasad Yadav of Ward No 2, Laukaha VDC, appeared at the Juddha Secondary School, Gaur, examination centre for Mohammad Mahatab Alam, who teaches at Farhadawa Primary School in Rajpur. Yadav was handed over to police, said chief of the examination centre, Shiva Prasad Sapkota. Action is being taken against him for illegally appearing for the Teachers’ Service Commission examination held for internal and open promotions. Another examinee, Bada Babu Prasad, was caught copying at the same examination centre and was rusticated after his answer sheet was confiscated, said Sapkota. All the officials appointed as invigilators are civil servants. Two hundred and 70 examinees appeared at the centre, the District Education Office stated.
