PU VC’s resignation sought
Biratnagar, May 28:
Teachers and staffers of the Purbanchal University have warned of a hunger strike if the vice-chancellor, chairman of the PU Service Commission and registrardon’t resign by tomorrow.
The PU Teachers’ Association and committee of PU staffers were addressing a joint press meet today.
Jagat Bahadur KC, Ganesh Prasad Chhetri and Professor Dr Bhogendra Prasad Upadhaya had been appointed vice-chancellor, chairman of the Service Commission and registrar of the PU, respectively, during the royal regime.
The three have been accused of working against polices of the university, not fulfilling their moral responsibilities, making education programmes ineffective among others.
