Punish the corrupt: Deuba
Dhangadhi, June 2 :
Nepali Congress-Democratic (NC-D) president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today said the commissions which were formed to curb corruptions should be free from political intervention.
“The corrupt persons should be punished,” the former prime minister said, adding that there should be no political intervention in cases of corruption.
Inaugurating a day-long interaction titled “Constituent Assembly Polls for Corruption Control”, organised by Pro-public in Dhangadhi, Deuba said: “Corruption continued even after the establishment of democracy in Nepal in 2046 BS.”
Political intervention was rife in the commissions formed earlier to control corruption, Deuba
further said.
