Rafting in Seti a big hit at far-western festival

Dipayal, March 1

Rafting in Seti River has become a centre of attraction for visitors at the ongoing far western festival in Dipayal, Doti.

Organised by Doti Chapter of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the festival kicked off seven days ago. FNCCI Doti said that it was planning to operate rafting on a permanent basis.

CDO Gokarna Prasad Sharma of Doti said that Seti was one of the best rafting destinations in the country. CDO Sharma asked the private sector and government to work in tandem to promote rafting.

Doti LDO Krishna Prasad Gautam said that the government could help if local entrepreneurs came up with a plan for promoting the river sport.

Michael Alen, a major in the British Army, said that it was the third time he had come to Seti for rafting. “I have rafted many times in Trishuli. But, rafting in Seti is fascinating,” Alen said.
