Bajura, July 18

Almost all village roads of the hilly districts of the far-west have been obstructed due to landslides following the incessant rain.

The rural roads of Bajura, Achham, Bajhang, Darchula among other hilly districts of the far-west region were obstructed following non-stop rainfall.

Locals have been facing problems due to lack of transportation.

Betalmandau-Martadi, Martadi-Kolti, Sera-Aantichaur, Martdai-Bhaunera, Betalmandau-Pudababa along Sanphe-Martadi road sections were completely obstructed due to landslides in different places. A staff at Betalmandau bus ticket counter Khadak Raj Joshi said that the

road section from Bahrabisa to Betalmandau was obstructed after flood swept away the diversions.

Similarly, Sanphe-Payal, Sanphe-Budakot, Jayagadh-Nandegada, Sanphebagar-Mujabagar, Mangalsain-Binayak, Timailsain-Mujabagar among other roads of Achham have been obstructed. Likewise, vehicular movement from Mangailsain to Surkhet has also been halted.

The price for daily use materials has increased in the rural areas of the far-west due to the obstruction.
