Rainfall forecast for next few days
Kathmandu, August 6
With monsoon trough shifting towards the Nepal-India border, Meteorological Forecasting Division today forecast moderate to heavy rainfall across the country for the next few days.
Meteorologist at the MFD Samir Shrestha said, “Heavy rainfall has been predicted for mid-hill region, while remaining parts of the country will receive light to moderate rainfall on Monday.”
He added that the MFD has forecast moderate rainfall in Kathmandu Valley for the next three days.
MFD makes weather forecasts for three days only due to lack of modern equipment. For Monday, MFD has forecast mostly cloudy weather in the eastern region and generally cloudy in the rest of the country.
