Rajan faction comes out of hiding, forms talks team

Siraha, January 7:

A team of the Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha-Rajan Mukti (JTMM-Rajan) faction came out in the open today to participate in talks with the government.

A three-member team of coordinator Rajib Jha and associates Manoj Jha and Ram Sovit Yadav became public today following the government’s invitation for the talks.

Coordinator Jha claimed that they had come out in the open amidst an ongoing ceremony to commemorate the first martyr of the Madhes stir, Ramesh Mahato.

Speaking on the occasion, coordinator Rajib Jha said they would return to the stir if the government talks team attempted to overshadow the Tarai issue.

“The party has just changed its course for the sake of negotiations. The fight is on,” warned Jha.

He also said that his party was forced to pick up weapons as the demands put forth in the peaceful agitation in Lahan four years ago were not addressed by the government.

The team after coming out in the open, left for Sonmati Majhaura VDC to meet the family of martyr Ramesh Mahato, said ward police office of Lahan.
