Rajendra Kishor Chhetri appointed Chief Secretary
KATHMANDU: Rajendra Kishor Chhetri has been appointed the Chief Secretary as per the cabinet meeting held on Thursday.
Chhetri, the secretary of Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation Ministry, has been appointed to the post on the basis of seniority.
He had entered the civil service as a gazetted third class officer on Januray 01, 1993.
The cabinet meeting has also decided to accept the grant from Japan and Finland for School Sector Development Programme, informed Minister for Finance Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.
Finland's and Japan's government have offered the grant amount Rs 2.36 billion and Rs 274.7 million for the programme respectively, added the Finance Minister.
