Rally for monarchy

BIRGUNJ: Nepal Rastrabad Sangh Parsa on Sunday staged a Tata Sumo rally demanding the reinstatement of monarchy in Birgunj.

The rally that started from Ghantaghar Chowk in Birgunj took a round of the city and left for Kathmandu.

Nepal Rastrabhakta Desbhakta Group welcomed the rally and bid farewell for its journey to the capital.

As many as 200 people were participating in 25 Sumo jeeps. Nepal Rastrabhakta Sangh Chairman Janak Sah said the rally would take a round of Kathmandu Valley and submit a request letter to former king Gyanendra Shah.

Sah said they had taken out the rally for peace in the country.

He said the country had no alternative to monarchy for its development and progress.

He added that they would do everything possible to reinstate monarchy in the country and the overthrown king for the sake of the nation and its people.
