KATHMANDU, APRIL 1
Ram Bahadur Thapa (Badal) has been elected the parliamentary party leader of CPN-UML.
Following a parliamentary party meeting held at the party headquarters in Chyasal, Thapa was elected unanimously.
Although UML lawmaker Suhang Nembang had also staked his claim for the post, Thapa ultimately secured the position unopposed, according to lawmaker Ain Bahadur Mahar.
Vice-Chairperson Bishnu Prasad Poudel, General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, along with other party office-bearers, extended their congratulations to Vice-Chairperson Thapa on his election.
The UML currently has 25 lawmakers in the House of Representatives.
