Ramechhap, June 18:

Ganga Bahadur Sarki, 17, a Dalit boy from Manthali VDC-7, scored first division in the SLC exams. He is the first one to have secured first division from the Dalit community of Ramechhap. Sarki had appeared in SLC tests from Mahendrodaya Higher Secondary School, Manthali. “Poverty and backwardness are keeping Dalits down,” said Mohan Bahadur Sarki, Ganga’s father.
