RAMECHHAP: As many as 24 VDCs in the district have been running without secretaries for the last five months as the Ministry of Local Development has failed to fill the vacant posts.

There are 55 VDCs in the district.

Secretaries at other VDCs are taking care of the VDCs that are sans the officials.

Narayan Subedi, an official at the District Development Committee (DDC), said though DDC had forwarded a letter to the Public Service Commission urging it to fill the vacant posts, no action has been taken till date, said Subedi.
