Bardiya, June 6:

A thirteen-year-old girl today accused a teacher at Panchajanya Secondary School in Padnah of Bardiya district of raping her.

“Devi Prasad Subedi, 45, raped me when I went to graze buffalo in his field on Saturday,” the victim, a domestic worker at Subedi’s house, said. The rape case has been kept secret following threats by Subedi’s family, father of the raped girl, Thule Tharu, said.

“We came to know about the incident as my daughter returned after working at Subedi’s home and began weeping,” Tharu said.
