RJP-N leaders meet PM Oli
Kathmandu, August 12
Members of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal Presidium today met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and urged him to address their issues including their demands to amend the constitution.
RJP-N leader Rajendra Mahato said they also told the prime minister to withdraw false charges slapped against the leaders and cadres of the party.
Mahato said the PM took their concerns positively and assured them that he would make efforts to gradually address their concerns. The PM also said that his government was focusing on achieving the goals of economic prosperity.
Another RJP-N leader Anil Kumar Jha said they raised the issue of Abhiram Sharma, an RJP-N member of the Provincial Assembly of Province 2, against whom an arrest warrant was recently issued.
Jha said the party leaders also urged the PM ensure swearing-in of RJP-N lawmaker Resham Chaudhary, who has been accused in Kailali killings. Chaudhary is currently in judicial custody. “The PM said he would make efforts to address their concerns. We have been hearing such positive assurances for the last three years but the reality is that nothing has happened so far in the last three years.” Jha added.
