RAUTAHAT: A youth from Rautahat district was held on charge of duping people by assuring them of jobs in a mobile company of India.

The detainee has been identified as Ram Kripal Rai Yadav (22) of Pipara Pokhariya VDC-4 of the district.

Yadav was cheating people by showing fake leaflets and convincing them to fill fake forms by taking Rs 500 to Rs 1,550 from each, in Garuda Municipality, informed Inspector Santulal Jayaswar of Area Police Office, Garuda.

On the basis of a complaint registered by Pawan Kumar Ram of Ramula Bairiya VDC-9, Yadav was arrested from Methur Chok of the Municipality on Saturday.

From the arrestee, police also confiscated an unregistered motorcycle, a netbook, a mobile set and Rs. 14,000 cash.

Rautahat District Court has remanded him to custody for further investigation under the fraud charge.
