Rawal to visit India

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bhim Bahadur Rawal will visit India on a three-day official trip next week, leading six-member delegation, beginning November 17. Chiefs of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National investigation Department and Home Secretary Govinda Kusum will accompany the home minister. Jaya Mukunda Khanal, spokesperson for Ministry of Home Affairs, said it was just a goodwill visit at the invitation of Indian government. The visit comes on the heels of home secretary-level meeting between the two countries. Sources said

the main agenda of the visit was security.

Of late, India has expressed concern about anti-India activities on the Nepali soil. Sources added that extradition treaty

would figure in Rawal’s visit.
