Rayamajhi vows quick paperwork on stir

Chairman of the high-level probe commission, former Supreme Court Judge Krishna Jung Rayamajhi, today said that after analysing and studying the collected evidence, the reporting process is already underway. The report will be complete within Ashoj, he said while talking to this daily in Damauli
Rayamajhi reached here yesterday on a site visit to collect evidence of suppression of the Jana Andolan II.
Altogether 900 persons were directly contacted in course of collecting the evidence in different districts, he said, claiming that the commission would finish its duty within the extended 45 days period.
The team met leaders of different political parties here. Rajamajhi talked personally with the family of Bikash Thapa, who sustained bullet injuries and that of Tikaram Sigdel, who was injured in the police’s baton-charge.
Meanwhile, a report from Tansen quoted a commission member Ram Prasad Shrestha as saying that the commission was weighing what procedure to adopt to question the King.
Shrestha pointed out that the King’s statement was necessary since he was the chairman of the then Council of Ministers.
