Reconstruction work after the 2015 earthquakes is moving ahead at a snail’s pace in Besisahar Municipality, Lamjung.

A total of 1,238, of 1,286 beneficiaries in the municipality received Rs 61.9 million as the first instalment grant. Technical engineer at the municipality Anoj Chiluwal said 820 beneficiaries received the second instalment grant of Rs 123million and 412 received the third instalment grant of Rs 120 million. The 418 beneficiaries, who received the first instalment, have yet to start reconstructing houses. Chiluwal added that 30 persons were yet to sign the grant agreement.

There are three engineers, one overseer and one sub-overseer inspecting reconstruction work in the municipality.
