Kathmandu, April 10:
Bhutanese refugees living in camps in eastern Jhapa and Morang districts today formed the Bhutanese Refugee Resettlement Coordination Committee (BRRCC) with an aim to expedite resettlement plan.
A press statement issued by the BRRCC said the committee will coordinate with the Nepal government, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), concerned diplomatic missions and the Bhutanese political parties and organisations.
The Bhutanese Refugee Resettlement Coordination Committee has also
welcomed the statement made by the Indian
Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherji during the SAARC Summit, urging his Nepalese counterpart Sahana Pradhan to allow the Bhutanese refugees to go for third country resettlement.
