Relatives demand action against Tanahun teenager’s murderer(s)

Kin of Purna Bahadur Ale Tanahun, Byas municipality, who was found dead a few days ago here, has formed a committee to pressurise the police administration to take action against those involved in the alleged murder.
A 25-member Moral Pressure Committee led by Byas Ward no 7 civil forum chairperson Krishna Narayan Shrestha has been formed with kin and locals claiming the incident was a murder, citing the mangled body of the youth.
According to committee member Bir Bahadur Thapa, the committee will do the needful to prod the police into investigating the incident and bringing to book the murders at the earliest.
A resident of Byas-7, Manahun, Purna Bahadur, aged 16, had been staying at his sister’s house in Byas-1, Nirmalnagar. He had set out from his home for tuition on Saturday morning, he was found dead on Monday. His mangled body was found hanging from a tree on the premises of Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Campus.
The eldest brother of the deceased, Prem said they wouldn’t receive the body unless police arrested the guilty and took action. Citing the mangled body, the villagers ruled out suicide. Demanding stern action, the victim’s side had picketed the police office for two days.
Inspector Prem Shankar Chaudhary said, “We’ve started investigating by detaining two girls. We will have our hands on the killer/s very soon.”
