Relief distributed to 143 flood victim families

District Administration Office, Rural Development Centre and Care Nepal jointly distributed relief materials to 143 flood victim families of Badarhawa in Durga Bhagawati Rural Municipality of Rautahat district, today. The families were displaced by floods of July 12 and 13.

Due to floods, relief materials to be distributed among the victims could not be carried to Badarhawa village across the Bagmati River. After the water level in the river receded, flood victims travelled to Rautahat headquarters, Gaur in boats seeking relief.

Rural Municipality Chair Arun Kumar Sah said relief supplies were distributed to flood victims after they came to Gaur in boats. Relief materials were distributed to some of the flood victims, according to Chief District Officer Kiran Thapa.

He assured that the District Administration Office would provide the remaining victims with relief supplies pronto.
