Former Force Commander of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organisation Retd Gen Krishna Narayan Singh Thapa today launched a book entitled Niji Surakshyako Serofero written by Retired Major Dr Karna Bahadur Thapa. Commenting on the book, Gen Thapa said while most of the security officers end up as security advisors after thier retirement, Dr Thapa has proved that a retired army officer can also be an academician.

“The book, which is a product of the author’s 21 years of service in the Royal Nepali Army (RNA), can be used as a manual to those engaged in private security. ” The author said that after his retirement he found emmence potentiality of private security in Nepali society where the concept of individual security is in the initial stage. In the context of the ongoing conflict in the country, Dr Thapa said, banks, schools, international non-governmental organisations, business houses, and industrial firms have felt problem of security. “As a land of Gurkhas, Nepal can sell its security skill to the world,” Dr Thapa said.
