JHAPA: Minister for Constituent Assembly Culture and Federal Affairs Dr Minendra Rijal on Wednesday said the situation was yet unripe to write the constitution on time.

Talking to journalists in Jhapa's Birtamod, he said constitution making could not be accomplished within the set time considering the country’s transition .Minister Rijal also charged the Unified CPN-Maoist of trying to capture state power with the help of its combatants.

Stating that the people were not in favour of the Maoists, he said the latter's attempt to capturing the state would result in a 'fiasco'. He added that the concept of geographical maps of federal states would be presented by the political parties. — HNS
