BAITADI: After 19 long years, the construction of a two-kilometre ring road has been completed in Dasharath Chand Municipality, the district headquarters of Baitadi.

The construction of the road that was in limbo for all these years was resumed in the local's initiative.

A dispute among the locals about the 400-metre stretch of the ring road had halted the construction works.

It, however, took a positive turn after the affected families were promised the compensation and construction of a wall came to an agreement.

The Dasharath Chand Municipality had started the construction of the ring road connecting Gothalapani and Shahilake in 1997/98.
