Ripping statute draft won’t obstruct constitution-writing: Oli

JHAPA: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Monday said that tearing the preliminary draft of the new statute would not hinder the process of writing the new constitution.

Speaking at a press meet organised at his residence in Damak, Jhapa, Oli held that there was no point in some parties and groups tearing the draft.

Stating that it was important to promulgate the new statute, Oli expressed hope that the Constituent Assembly would be able to deliver the constitution at any cost within a month.

He remarked that the issues raised by these parties could still be inserted or amended in the draft statute.

He expressed confidence that promulgation of the constitution would lead the country on to the highway of prosperity, development and progress.

Oli, elected from Jhapa Constituency No 7, came here to take stock of development works in his constituency.
